STEP ONE - Setting Trail Length

Hold the flag rest and turn the upper spool counter-clockwise.  For each revolution of the spool, the TRAIL LENGTH will increase by 6 inches.  (All the way down will trigger in 3 inches, while all the way up will trigger at about 10 feet.)

STEP TWO - Arming the Hook Setter

Cock the Power Lever from right to left, resting it against the stop pin/ice spike.  Insert the nylon rope (tether) into the slot on the bottom of the upper spool with the knot below the spool.  While holding the flag rest, rotate the spool counter-clockwise until wound tightly.
